Austin FC joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the 27th club in January 2019. Austin FC officially began competing in MLS in April 2021 and in the 2025 season qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs while also reaching and hosting the final of the U.S. Open Cup. Austin FC plays its home matches at Q2 Stadium, a 100% privately financed, state-of-the-art stadium in Austin which earned certification as a zero-waste venue in 2024. Austin FC sold out all 88 MLS home matches it played at Q2 Stadium during its first five seasons in the league, including three home MLS Cup Playoff matches.
Austin FC’s Community Impact Team is actively seeking an intern that is interested in learning and capable of externally communicating with partners, building programs that leave a positive impact, researching qualitative approaches to serve a growing community, and managing opportunities to engage others through the power of soccer. This is an opportunity to contribute to Austin FC’s Community Impact Team as well as a great way to advance your career.
This position will be based in Austin, TX and the role will be in-person based out of Austin FC’s business office.

You Will:
· Work with the Community Impact Department on day-to-day operations; and
· Develop skills through the fast-paced environment of professional sports; and
· Be a part of the development and execution of community impact programming events both large and small (some evenings and weekends required); and
· Support the Community Impact Team track and respond to community requests; and
· Help analyze qualitative and quantitative data to help measure the positive impact Austin FC is having on the Austin community; and
· Research opportunities and develop recommendations to present to the Community Impact Team; and
· Be a part of other special projects within the Community Impact Team.
You Have:
· Strong time management skills
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
· Nonprofit and/or grassroots experience preferred
· Proficient computer skills and ability to learn latest programs and systems
· English and/or Spanish language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better
