MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP - SUMMER 2019, USA RUGBY
Term: Full time – May 2019 through August 2019
Compensation: MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT/Unpaid
USA Rugby is the national governing body for the sport of rugby in America, and a Full Sport Member of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and World Rugby.
Currently headquartered in Lafayette, Colorado, USA Rugby is charged with developing the game on all levels and has over 115,000 active members. USA Rugby oversees four national teams, multiple collegiate and high school All-American sides, and an emerging Olympic development pathway for elite athletes.
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Marketing and Communications Intern.
Overview: The primary focus of this internship is to support and assist in the USA Rugby Communications and Digital Media department on various projects and tasks. 
Responsibilities include: 
  • Support in general social media upkeep and content posting
  • Creatively use the resources available to develop engaging and relevant social media content
  • Research and write relevant stories and press releases pertaining to USA Rugby news
  • Provide match coverage through social media and game recaps
  • Edit and showcase USA Rugby game footage for public highlights
  • Support in the updating the USA Rugby website and ancillary websites
  • Research and gather info for greater communications projects 
Preferred Skills:
·       Knowledge of business use on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
·       Adobe Photoshop and/or Creative Suite
·       Video editing
·       Sports coverage and writing
