The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience working as part of a team on medium-to-large scale applications.

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for the following: 
  • Build and maintain new products, features and enhancements to USA Cycling’s suite of products and tools developed using Laravel (4.1 – 5.*), MySQL, and Angular.
  • Execution of full delivery (designing, developing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting) of applications to satisfy business requirements.
  • Collaboration with existing USAC project teams to achieve strategic visions.
  • Building responsive web interfaces with a mobile-first mentality.
  • Performs these and other duties as assigned.
  • Real world experience building web applications with PHP 5.5 – 7.x and Laravel framework
  • Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs
  • Experience working in AWS environment
  • Experience with eCommerce or POS products (Shopify, Magento, Netsuite eCommerce)
  • Implementing user interfaces using next-gen JavaScript tools (Angular, React, Vue, and Foundation)
  • Managing source code using git or other similar VCS
  • Experience or knowledge of how pull requests work in a team environment
  • Comfortable on the command line
  • Knowledgeable about Composer, Docker, and package management procedures
  • Comfortable with the concepts and creation of automated tests (TDD, integration testing, etc.)
  • Able to build intuitive user interfaces when given design direction
  • General knowledge and practical experience with JavaScript (vanilla and jQuery)
  • Practical experience with HTML5 and CSS3
  • Comfortable using CSS preprocessors (SASS, SCSS, Less)
  • Thrive on responsibility and display a passion for quality results
  • Ability to think critically about prioritization decisions and make smart trade-offs
  • A continuous learner with a proven track record of innovation and creativity
  • Power to build positive, professional relationships with internal and external customers and members of the Cycling community.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with ability to be creative in overcoming resource limitations.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional work hours including some weekends and holidays.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or 5 years of equivalent work experience 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as part of a team on medium-to-large scale applications
