Position Description
Working with the HPD, contribute to the design and delivery of world class performance & Sport Science support to all male and female senior and youth players within the national teams. 
 
High Performance Department (HPD) Overview

Primary Responsibilities
 
·         Manage and develop all full-time, part-time and external consultant performance staff within the WNT, MNT and youth teams.
·         Develop strong working relationships across the multi-disciplinary team, sharing and informing best practice. 
·         Ensure the highest standards of data and player information is collected in line with the requirements of the HPD and the USSF
·         Lead, develop and implement the requirements for all aspects of delivery and data collection across the performance pathway including (but not limited to) sport science, Strength and Conditioning, nutrition, psychology.
·         Develop and improve relationships with all national players club teams to ensure bi-lateral exchange of performance data and information pre and post national camps.
·         Under guidance of the HPD develop internal and external research 
·         Travel and provide support to national teams as and when required during games and training camps
 
Other duties as assigned or required.  May include:   
 
·         Support and develop performance systems, data and staff within the MLS.
·         Support and develop performance systems, data and staff within the college and/or other soccer institutions
·         Help support and develop an internal and external CPD program for staff within the federations and practitioners within clubs.
·         Contribute to the education of staff and coaches within the federation and those enrolled onto federation specific qualification pathways.
 

Minimum Qualifications 

·         MSc in Sport Science/performance or related field
·         BSc in Sport Science/performance (or equivalent)
·         Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Accreditation
·         Minimum of 10 years experience working within Soccer and/or other elite sport
·         Knowledge and experience of performance requirements for adult and youth athletes
 
 
Desired Qualifications:
·         Knowledge and experience of performance requirements for adult and youth athletes
·         Experience working in collaboration with coaches and other support staff
·         Significant experience in managing and developing staff
·         Previous experience working with multi stakeholder projects, data and research
·         Vast knowledge and experience of performance equipment and technology
·         Proficient on computer with software such as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access and Video Editing
·         Excellent organizational, data collection, planning and leadership skills
