Under general supervision, this position provides administrative support to various departments within the Federation. Primary responsibilities include: filing, copying, scanning correspondence, preparing packets and mailings, opening/sorting mail, and other general office tasks. Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned as needed. In fulfilling these responsibilities, this position interacts with executive and senior management and staff. Handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality is a primary requirement of this position, so this individual is responsible for complying with the US Equestrian Document Destruction and Retention Policy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload. 

This position will be temporary and candidates much be available to work for twelve weeks starting on or around May 15th. 

Job Specifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working in an office setting required, preferably secretarial or administrative in nature.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and the use of the Internet.  Must have good organizational skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.  Must be detail oriented and capable of working effectively and professionally with others.  Must have a high level of interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
