Position Overview
We're looking for a passionate Graphic Designer to be a key player on our creative team. In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of day-to-day design tasks, from creating engaging social media graphics and digital ad campaigns to preparing all the necessary files for print, like event signage and branded collateral. You'll work closely with our Design Director, Senior Designer, and Marketing team, helping to bring their visions to life while ensuring all assets are consistent with The Snow League's brand and our partners' requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce a variety of graphic assets for social media, digital campaigns, event graphics, and branded partnerships.
- Prepare and format files for print for event signage, merchandise, and sponsor activations, ensuring they meet all specifications.
- Create compelling promotional graphics for athlete features and league news for use across our digital channels.
- Develop visuals that align with The Snow League's brand while seamlessly incorporating sponsor elements.
- Support the creative team in developing new campaigns by contributing to concepting sessions and helping to bring ideas to life.
- Adapt and resize existing designs for different platforms, maintaining brand consistency and high quality.
- Help organize and maintain our library of design assets and templates for easy access and reuse.
- Execute design revisions efficiently based on feedback from the creative team and sponsor requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates a clear understanding of design principles and a diverse range of projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience with preparing files for both digital and print production.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Monday.com or similar.
- Experience with motion graphics and Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Core Competencies:
- A strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to take constructive feedback.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying current with design trends.
- A strong sense of copywriting and the ability to craft compelling headlines and captions is a bonus.
Working Conditions
- Travel: Occasional travel to events or shoots may be required
- Physical Requirements: Some light lifting or setup may be necessary during production or onsite events
