This is a Seasonal Position: Our season will run from January 2026 to May 2026

Summary:
The San Diego Mojo is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Game Presentation Assistant. This is a part-time, game-day position responsible for ensuring all aspects of the in-arena fan experience run smoothly and engagingly. The role offers hands-on operational experience and a valuable opportunity to learn the high-level production workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Game Day Operations & Logistics
  • Execute timely and accurate setup and teardown of all game presentation elements, including court-side signage, the DJ booth, equipment (A/V, props), and promotional materials.
  • Assist the Director of Game Presentation with preparing and distributing necessary items for various in-game activities.
  • Manage the organization and inventory of game presentation assets pre and post-event.

Live Entertainment & Fan Engagement
  • Serve as a co-host for various fan activities, contests, and promotions during game breaks, engaging directly with the crowd on the microphone and on-camera.
  • Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm, utilizing strong verbal communication skills to hype up the crowd and maximize fan engagement throughout the event.
  • Assist with the coordination of sponsorship shout-outs and in-arena recognition segments.
  • Actively work the arena floor and stands to interact with fans, driving a positive and electric game-day atmosphere.

Show Execution Support
  • Support the Director of Game Presentation with the flawless execution of all pre-game elements, including ceremonies, national anthem performances, starting lineups, and sponsorship activations.
  • Actively shadow and assist the Game Producer/Show Caller during live events to understand the cue-to-cue production process, show flow, and real-time decision-making.
  • Be ready to assist with any last-minute operational needs or changes to the game script, maintaining a flexible and problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in live event production, game-day operations, promotions, or sports marketing is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable talking in front of large crowds and on camera.
  • Strong interest in learning the technical and strategic aspects of live event production (Show Calling/Producing).
  • Mandatory availability for all San Diego Mojo home matches, which requires arriving approximately three (3) hours prior to the official start time of each match.
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods during setup, event, and teardown.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with fans, staff, and talent.
  • A strong, positive attitude and a passion for creating an electric atmosphere for the fans.
