Internship Outline:
The Columbus Fury are gearing up for our third year of professional women’s volleyball beginning in January 2026, and we’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team for the season! As a Ticket Sales & Operations Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all our ticketing initiatives for 2026. This position provides hands-on experience in both sales and operations, giving you the opportunity to work closely with our team on lead generation, group sales, customer service, event planning, and match day execution. 
Specific day-to-day objectives include:  
  • Assist our sales team with lead generation and prospecting new clients by researching companies, preparing contacts lists, etc. 
  • Make outbound calls and emails to promote ticket packages and gather information for group sales leads. 
  • Aid in the planning of our 2026 theme nights and corresponding group experiences. 
  • Support promotional campaigns and marketing efforts related to ticket sales. 
  • Learn the basics of ticketing-related platforms such as Archtics, Ticketmaster, and Account Manager. 
  • Respond to customer service inquiries via phone and/or email.  
  • Assist in planning and execution of external events such as tabling at volleyball tournaments, high school matches of the week, etc. 
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Ticket Sales & Operations. 
In-season responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate match day activations such as concourse tabling set ups, fan tunnels, meet and greets, etc. 
  • Shadow fellow ticketing team members throughout the match, and assist them as needed (either in the box office, at the sales table, visiting with season ticket holders, responding to customer service inquiries, etc.). 
  • Check in with groups in attendance at each match to ensure they’re enjoying their experience. 
  • Assist in tearing down and cleaning up at the end of the match. 
Qualifications: 
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel). 
  • Previous experience with Archtics preferred but not required. 
  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required. 

This internship will run from December through the end of April.
