Columbus Fury - Major League Volleyball is seeking a Technical Coordinator. This position will report to the Assistant Coach directing team analytics. The Technical Coordinator will direct all team technical, statistical, and video analytics for practice, scouting, in-game systems, and draft preparation. Create a strategic system to deliver the highest-level analytics to the coaches and team that will drive all aspects of team preparation at the highest level. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and Team above self, mentality. Work well independently in entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Job Duties:
- Work as a collaborative member of the Fury Volleyball team, with the highest standard of teamwork and excellence.
- Quickly build trust with each of our athletes, coaches, and staff through consistent behavior, effective decision making and initiative in finding great solutions
- Manage all video in practice and matches.
- Manage all statistics at practices and matches.
- Live coding in all practice and matches.
- Coordinate statistical communication system with coaches during matches.
- Coordinate all video and statistical information communication with coaching staff.
- Develop delivery program and system for video and statistics for coaches and players.
- Create post-practice and post-match reports.
- Assist with development of scouting video, scouting statistics, and reports for all opponents.
- Access statistics and video of collegiate players in preparation for draft.
- Coordinate with Assistant Coach directing team travel with team meeting room and technology needed for video display and scouting reports.
- Manage all software and equipment necessary for technical, statistical, and video analytics and with team travel.
- Coordinate with Director of Team Operations statistical interface with game day stats and scores table personnel.
- Assist Director of Digital Strategy & Content Creation with social media content and posting.
- Serve as a practice player for opponent simulation.
- Will accept other responsibilities and duties.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communication skills
- Three years of experience in analytics and statistics for volleyball at the collegiate level
- Experience in working with volleyball technology platforms and software such as, but not limited to: Volleystation, HUDL, Volleymetrics,
- Ability to work with a wide range of people from coaches, athletes, to media contacts, and corporate representatives, dignitaries, and event staff.
- Proven strength in communication (written, verbal, and associated technologies).
- Detail-oriented problem-solver who can employ leadership, critical thinking, time management and prioritization skills.
- Willingness to learn and flexibility to shift as priorities change.
- Travel required.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods, lift, and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive attitude, creativity, integrity, and accountability.
- Seasonal Contract (November 15-May 15)
