Position Overview:
The Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting with public relations, content strategy, and marketing efforts for the Atlanta Vibe. This role plays a key part in shaping the team’s public voice, managing press operations, and driving fan engagement through email, web, and social platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and passionate about sports storytelling.
Responsibilities:
· Write and distribute match notes, press releases, previews, recaps, sponsorship announcements, and roster updates.
· Manage email marketing campaigns and newsletters to engage fans and promote events.
· Coordinate home match logistics including post-game media, parking lists, credential orders, and media outreach.
· Maintain and update Linktree with match notes, opponent info, and league updates.
· Oversee media credential forms and approvals.
· Update the team website with articles, homepage edits, roster changes, match notes, and win/loss records.
· Coordinate away competition tickets and liaise with opposing team PR staff.
· Schedule and facilitate broadcaster calls with coaching staff.
· Lead offseason content including LinkedIn posts, website updates, and community engagement events.
· Plan and execute Media Day and Training Camp coverage including player interviews and pressers.
· Support PR opportunities for key team figures and maintain media relationships.
· Contribute to sponsor pitch decks, theme night planning, and Photoshop editing for marketing assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
· 2–4 years of experience in sports communications or marketing.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
· Proficiency in digital platforms, including email marketing tools (MailChimp), CMS (WMT Digital) , and social media.
· Experience with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.
· Ability to travel as needed for events and media coverage.
· Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
