About the Indy Ignite
Indy Ignite brings the heat of professional women’s volleyball to Central Indiana. As part of Major League Volleyball, the nation’s premier pro volleyball league, our mission is to pursue victory, empower women and serve our community through the competitive world of pro volleyball. Together, we are paving the way for the next generation of women’s sports and inspiring girls to pursue their passion with relentless ambition. Indy Ignite ended its inaugural season in 2025 as the runner-up in the MLV Championship. We will begin our second season in January 2026.
Position Summary
Indy Ignite is seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals interested in obtaining practice and relative experience in the sports industry. This position will support the Indy Ignite Marketing and Fan Experience departments through onsite event activations and grassroot initiatives. Promo Team members will credibly and responsibly represent oneself as the face of the Indy Ignite to current and prospective fans by assisting in community events and match day responsibilities. This is a temporary seasonal position and hours will be dependent on the event schedule.
This position will be compensated at a rate of $50/event with some additional opportunities compensated at $10/hour. The position will span from January - May 2026 dependent on the Indy Ignite post season schedule.
Responsibilities Include
- Passionately represent Indy Ignite on match day.
- Work together with other promo team members to execute in-match fan promotions such as pre-match giveaways, group experience activations, t-shirt tosses, on-court fan contests, and more.
- Enthusiastically interact with and educate the public on Indy Ignite history, information, and ticket opportunities at community events.
- Organize and manage department assets such as promo materials and giveaways, signage, and equipment.
- Assist in the set up and tear down of display areas pre and post match, including signage, giveaway items, and in-match activation elements.
- Engage with fans to create unique and memorable experiences during the match.
- Be an expert on the products and services offered by the Indy Ignite.
- Occasionally assist with regional or local community events during the season.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Be fun, confident, and outgoing.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently living in Fishers, Indiana or surrounding areas.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License
- Exceptional work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a passion for the sports/pro volleyball industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate and problem solve with co-workers.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Promo Team Members will receive event shirts but will be expected to wear other job-appropriate attire and comfortable shoes.
- Ability to work all or most of the 14 Indy Ignite home matches as well as occasional regional or local community events.
- Ability to easily stand and move up and down stairs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift objects such as promotional items or merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop and reach overhead as needed.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat.
- May require some out-of-town travel with necessary travel expenses covered by the Indy Ignite.
