Indy Ignite brings the heat of professional women’s volleyball to Central Indiana. As part of Major League Volleyball, the nation’s premier pro volleyball league, our mission is to pursue victory, empower women and serve our community through the competitive world of pro volleyball. Together, we are paving the way for the next generation of women’s sports and inspiring girls to pursue their passion with relentless ambition. Indy Ignite ended its inaugural season in 2025 as the runner-up in the MLV Championship. We will begin our second season in January 2026. 

Position Summary 
The Operations & Corporate Partnerships Intern will support the Indy Ignite’s business operations and partnerships teams by gaining hands-on experience in partnership activation, event coordination, and fan engagement. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of a professional sports organization while playing a key role in delivering memorable game day experiences. The intern will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and Director of Corporate Partnerships, along with other departments, to assist with event logistics and execution.
This internship will largely support partnerships during the week and operations on gameday, working hand in hand with both departments to support the needs of the Indy Ignite.
This internship will begin in January and end in May depending on the Indy Ignite post season schedule with an expected 20 working hours per week including all Indy Ignite home matches, Monday through Friday with flexible hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm.  There will be occasional requirements for longer hours during the week and/or on weekends based on games and other business needs.  This is a hybrid position and will work from the headquarters office in Fishers, IN with the flexibility to work from home (remote). 

This position will be compensated at a rate of $10/hour. 

Responsibilities Include
  • Act as the gameday liaison for visiting teams and select partners.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of game day operations, including signage, equipment, and fan zone activations.
  • Support venue staff with logistics, crowd flow, and overall event execution.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and other external partners on-site.
  • Ensure smooth operation of pre-game, in-game, and post-game promotions or entertainment.
  • Monitor fan areas to ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment.
  • Troubleshoot real-time issues that arise during games or events.
  • Provide general support to operations staff and other departments as needed.
  • Activation of new and renewed revenue through the sale of Corporate Partnerships including stadium signage, advertising, promotional elements, and ticket packages. 
  • Develop Specs and Deadlines worksheets for execution of Partnerships.
  • Transfer assets from contracts to the Monday board and manage execution updates.
  • Organizing proof of performance pictures for various partner activations.
  • Provide research details for potential partners as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements 
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for working in the sports industry.
  • Must live/go to school within commutable distance from Indy Ignite headquarters in Fishers, IN.
