Position Overview
Dallas Pro Volleyball is building a best-in-class brand ahead of our inaugural Major League Volleyball season. We’re hiring a Marketing Manager who will also serve as our Social Media Lead—an agile, creative, data-driven marketer who can build campaigns end-to-end, own our social channels, and grow an engaged community that drives ticket sales, sponsorship value, and fandom.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual marketing plan across brand, ticketing, community, and partnerships.
  • Lead integrated campaigns from brief → creative → launch → measurement; coordinate internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Build GTM plans for roster announcements, events, merchandise drops, and key moments on the sports calendar.

Social Media Ownership
  • Own strategy, publishing, and community management across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Create platform-native content (short-form video, graphics, stories, live coverage); maintain a daily/weekly content calendar.
  • Establish brand voice and social guidelines; train staff, players, and partners on best practices.
  • Run paid social (Meta/TikTok/X): audience targeting, creative testing, and optimization for conversions.

Content & Creative
  • Write sharp copy for social, email, website, and ads; produce quick-turn video and basic design assets.
  • Manage photo/video shoots, freelancers, and creators; maintain a digital asset library and content tagging.

Growth, CRM & Web
  • Partner with ticketing and partnerships to build acquisition funnels; optimize landing pages and pixels.
  • Own email newsletter calendar, segmentation, and performance with our ESP/CRM.
  • Update website content (news posts, roster pages, schedules) and support SEO basics.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Define KPIs, build dashboards, and present performance readouts with clear insights and next steps.
  • Track campaign ROI, social growth, engagement, web traffic, email metrics, and ticketing conversions.

Game Day & Community
  • Lead live social coverage at matches, practices, and community events.
  • Collaborate with players, agents, and the league on content access, rights, and approvals.
  • Support grassroots marketing: clinics, watch parties, and local partnerships.

Required Qualifications
  • 1–2+ years in marketing with significant hands-on social media ownership (sports/entertainment a plus).
  • Proven track record growing social channels and converting audiences to measurable outcomes (sales, signups).
  • Strong copywriting and creative instincts; comfortable shooting/editing short-form video.
  • Experience with: Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, social schedulers (e.g., Sprout/Hootsuite/Later), ESP/CRM (Mailchimp/Klaviyo/HubSpot), and a CMS (WordPress/Webflow).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva, or ability to learn and use for creative assets.
  • Comfortable working nights/weekends for games and key events; travel as needed.
  • Passion for women’s sports and familiarity with volleyball preferred.

Success Metrics
  • Social: follower growth, video views, engagement rate, and community response time.
  • Revenue: paid social ROAS, email-to-ticket conversion, landing page CVR.
  • Brand: share of voice, creator/influencer collaborations, media pickup of content.

Team & Reporting Structure
This position reports to the VP of Marketing and collaborates closely with Corporate Partnerships, Operations, and Player Personnel departments. The role includes budget management responsibility and potential for team growth as franchise develops.

Location & Expectations
Position based in Dallas, Texas with regular travel throughout the DFW metroplex for events, media appearances, and community engagement. Some national travel for league meetings and industry conferences. Evening and weekend work required during season for games and events.
