Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director/VP of Ticket Sales to lead revenue generation and fan base development for Dallas' newest professional sports team. This is a foundational role that will establish our ticketing strategy, build a sales organization from the ground up, and drive sustainable revenue growth through season memberships, premium and group sales, as well as single-game tickets for newest Major League Volleyball franchise. You will be responsible for creating a best-in-class sales operation that reflects our commitment to exceptional fan experiences and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
● Develop and execute ticket sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets
● Establish season membership pricing strategy, package offerings, and value propositions for diverse market segments
● Create and manage sales forecasting models and performance tracking systems
● Lead inaugural season launch strategy including founding member campaigns and early bird initiatives
● Develop group sales programs targeting corporate clients, youth organizations, schools, and community groups
Team Leadership & Development
● Recruit, hire, and manage high-performing sales team
● Design comprehensive training programs covering volleyball knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management
● Implement sales processes, CRM systems, and performance management frameworks
● Create compensation structures and incentive programs to attract and retain sales talent
● Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer-first service
Customer Acquisition & Retention
● Build season membership base from ground zero
● Develop new business acquisition strategies including cold calling, networking, and referral programs
● Create customer retention programs to maximize renewal rates and prevent churn
● Establish premium seating and hospitality offerings including suites, courtside seating, clubs, and VIP experiences
● Implement customer service excellence programs to ensure exceptional fan experiences
Database Development & CRM Management
● Build prospect database from Dallas-Fort Worth market research and lead generation
● Oversee CRM implementation, data management, and sales process automation
● Develop lead scoring, pipeline management, and sales forecasting capabilities
● Create customer segmentation strategies for targeted marketing and sales campaigns
● Ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and actionable analytics for decision-making
Partnership Integration & Cross-Selling
● Collaborate with Partnerships team to integrate ticket sales with sponsorship packages
● Develop corporate hospitality programs and group sales initiatives that support partnership activation
● Create cross-selling opportunities between tickets and merchandise
● Work with Marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional campaigns and fan engagement initiatives
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Sports Management, or related field
● 5 or more years of progressive sales experience
● Proven track record of achieving revenue targets exceeding $2M annually
● Experience in ticket sales and season membership sales
● Strong background in team leadership, hiring, and sales organization development
● Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, Archtics, or similar ticketing platforms)
● Deep understanding of Dallas-Fort Worth market demographics and consumer behavior
● Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
● Previous experience with professional sports franchise or entertainment venue
● Background in startup or new market launch environments
● Knowledge of volleyball, women's sports, or Olympic sports
● Existing network within Dallas corporate and community organizations
● Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) to reach diverse market segments

Team Structure & Reporting
Reports directly to Team President/CEO. Collaborates closely with Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, and Operations departments. Responsible for building sales team.
Location & Travel Requirements
Position based in Dallas, Texas with extensive travel throughout DFW metroplex for client meetings, community events, and networking opportunities. Evening and weekend work required during season for games, events, and client entertainment. Occasional national travel may be necessary.
