Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and innovative Director/VP of Marketing to lead brand development and fan engagement for Dallas' newest professional women's franchise. This is a once-in-a- career opportunity to build a sports franchise from the ground up, creating authentic connections with the Dallas community while establishing our team as a premier destination for world-class women's professional volleyball. You will be responsible for all aspects of marketing strategy, brand positioning, fan acquisition, and revenue-driving marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Development & Strategic Marketing
● Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy to establish team identity and build brand recognition across Dallas-Fort Worth market
● Assist naming, logo design, color scheme, and overall brand identity development in collaboration with ownership and creative agencies
● Create brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints and communications
● Position the team as a leader in women's professional sports and community engagement
● Develop go-to-market strategy for inaugural season launch and long-term brand building initiatives

Fan Acquisition & Engagement
● Design and implement multi-channel fan acquisition campaigns targeting diverse Dallas demographics
● Develop season ticket, group sales, and single-game marketing strategies to achieve attendance goals of 4,000-6,000 per match
● Create compelling content strategies for social media platforms, website, email marketing, and digital communications
● Build and nurture fan community through authentic storytelling, player spotlights, and behind-the-scenes content
● Develop youth volleyball outreach programs and grassroots marketing initiatives

Digital Marketing & Content Creation
● Oversee all digital marketing efforts including social media strategy, content calendar, and community management
● Manage website development, user experience optimization, and e-commerce functionality
● Lead email marketing campaigns, database segmentation, and marketing automation
● Coordinate video production, photography, and graphic design for marketing materials
● Implement data-driven marketing approaches using analytics to optimize campaigns and ROI

Partnership Marketing & Activation
● Collaborate with Partnerships team to develop activation concepts for sponsors
● Create co-marketing opportunities and cross-promotional campaigns with local businesses and organizations
● Manage partner marketing deliverables and ensure exceptional activation execution
● Develop hospitality and VIP experiences that enhance partner value and fan engagement
● Coordinate with Pro Volleyball Federation on league-wide marketing initiatives and cross-promotion opportunities

Game Experience & Event Marketing
● Design game day experience strategy including pre-game and post-game entertainment
● Coordinate with operations team on facility branding, signage, and visual presentation
● Develop special events, theme nights, and promotional campaigns to drive attendance
● Manage game presentation elements including music, announcements, and fan engagement activities
● Create memorable experiences that differentiate our team and build lasting fan loyalty

Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field
● 7-10 years of progressive marketing experience
● Proven track record in brand development, preferably with startup or new market entry experience
● Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation
● Experience in sports, entertainment, or experiential marketing preferred
● Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
● Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and analytics tools
● Knowledge of Dallas-Fort Worth market demographics and media landscape

Preferred Qualifications
● At least 3 years in marketing leadership role
● Previous experience launching sports franchise or entertainment venue
● Background in women's sports marketing
● Advanced degree in Marketing, MBA, or related field
● Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) to reach diverse Dallas market
● Existing relationships with Dallas media, influencers, and community organizations
● Experience with ticket sales and revenue-generating marketing initiatives

Team & Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Team President & CEO and collaborates closely with
Corporate Partnerships, Operations, and Player Personnel departments. The role includes
budget management responsibility and potential for team growth as franchise develops.

Location & Expectations
Position based in Dallas, Texas with regular travel throughout the DFW metroplex for events, media appearances, and community engagement. Some national travel for league meetings and industry conferences. Evening and weekend work required during season for games and events.
