Position Overview:
The PLL Social Media Intern will support our content team throughout the 2026 season by helping execute and publish engaging content across league, team, and WLL channels. This role involves contributing creative ideas, assisting with the development and iteration of social assets, and drafting copy that aligns with the PLL brand voice. The intern will play a key role in real-time game day coverage, posting and reacting as moments unfold, while staying closely connected to trends in lacrosse and the broader social media landscape. This position requires flexibility, including nights and weekends, as well as occasional travel to support live events and on-site content creation.

Qualifications: 
  • Experience and understanding of social media and social content; actively-managed personal channels will be viewed favorably
  • Knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok (other platforms a plus)
  • Highly-coachable with the ability to learn quickly
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and team-based skills
  • Hard worker who is a “doer” first; must be ready to roll sleeves up
  • Lacrosse background or understanding of lacrosse media is a strong plus
  • Strong writing and copywriting skills are a plus
  • Existing or budding creative skill-set a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop and Premiere) is a strong plus

Requirements:
  • Support PLL’s social media content throughout the 2026 Season
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Travel to various locations will be required on an as needed basis
  • Contribute ideas to the PLL content team
  • Support iteration on creative assets and concepts
  • Suggest copy for posts
  • Provide real time social coverage on game days
  • Post content across PLL, WLL or Team Channels
  • Stay in-tune with lacrosse social media and broader social media trends; live in the conversation

Compensation: 
  • $15–$18/hr, with final rate determined based on location and experience in accordance with local laws
  • 30 hrs per week
