Position Overview:
The Fan Experience team is seeking two season-long Spirit Squad members to support the on-site Fan Experience game production and event operations at all (16) event weekends during the season.
These Spirit Squad members will work directly with the Fan Experience Game Presentation team and our third-party production agency to ensure a smooth gameday execution. The Spirit Squad will engage fans across multiple touchpoints to create an electric atmosphere, drive fan participation, and elevate the event’s energy both inside and outside the stadium. Their focus will be on converting casual attendees into passionate PLL fans by fostering a sense of belonging and community through personal interactions and immersive experiences. The Spirit Squad will represent the league with energy and enthusiasm in new and unique ways.

Qualifications:
Pre-Season & Planning
- Attend:
- (1, 1-hour) virtual pre-season training/education session
- (Weekly, 30-minutes) pre-event check-in & staffing planning session with the Fan Experience team.
On-Site Event Responsibilities
- Assist with full load-in, set-up, breakdown, and load-out of the concourse area and Game Presentation Activations.
- Energize the Premier Zone pregame, encouraging fans to interact with partner activations and engage with games, contests, giveaways, and the localization elements in each unique market.
- Lead fan mobilization efforts from the Premier Zone into the stadium prior to opening faceoff of each gameday.
- Integrate in all Fan Experience in-game run of show elements (including, but not limited to):
- Running spirit flags during runouts and team hype moments
- Distributing gate giveaways and t-shirt tosses
- Sourcing contestants and executing on field activations
- Inspire and lead fan chants and Supporter Group hype moments with the integration of flags, signs, and unique props.
- Serve as a “surprise and delight” team, meeting fans of all ages and finding opportunities to level up their gameday in a personalized way. These experiences may include; pulling young kids for an on field game, selecting kids to join the group on the field to participate in t-shirt tosses, etc.
- Focus on deepening fandom and encouraging fans to take the next step on-site, driving merchandise sales, downloading the PLL App and becoming a PLL Nation member, and promoting return ticket sales.
- Answering fan questions and/or directing them as needed *PLL to provide key information to speak to
- Have a passion for lacrosse and the PLL/WLL, a constant positive attitude, and willing to grind
Requirements:
- Passion for lacrosse and the PLL (Premier Lacrosse League) + the WLL (Women’s Lacrosse League).
- Willing and able to travel to all 16 events and work weekends (May 8th - September 20th).
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a constant positive attitude and great spirit throughout long event days.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Being on your feet for 8-10 hours per day.
- Working long event days in varied weather conditions.
Compensation:
- $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on location and experience)
- All travel expenses including: travel (flights, trains, and/or ground transportation), hotels, meals, + other miscellaneous costs (ie. checked luggage) are covered by the PLL.
