Position Overview:
The 2026 Premier Lacrosse League Photo Internship offers aspiring photographers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced professional sports environment. Photo Interns will support in-game photography, metadata logging and tagging, and the distribution of visual content to players, sponsors and partners, and the Player Alumni Network. This internship emphasizes skill development and a comprehensive understanding of media operations, providing direct collaboration with PLL photographers, designers, social media, production, and broadcast teams to support league-wide visual content initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Photography coverage of daily gameday needs and assignments, including shooting pre-game, in-game fan experience, and game action.
- Edit, keyword, and caption imagery to archive and organize all images and files.
- Assist Premier Lacrosse League photography staff with event weekend and photo shoot coverage.
- Capture imagery for distribution across sponsored partner channels, including Champion, Whirlpool, Gatorade, etc.
- Create content for all PLL and WLL social media platforms, including Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Youtube.
- Live edit in-game content during event game weekends.
- Effectively log and tag metadata for imagery from PLL and WLL weekends, photo shoots, and existing PLL and MLL archival photography .
- Help distribute content to players, sponsors/partners, and college programs throughout the entirety of the 2026 PLL and WLL season.
Requirements:
- Ability to create, develop, and execute compelling ideas that will drive engagement across PLL and WLL digital channels as well as ESPN game broadcasts.
- Edit proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Lightroom, Photoshop)*
- Experience in metadata tagging.
- Skilled in operating a variety of cameras to capture game imagery and supplementary feature content.
- Fundamental knowledge of lighting techniques for studio photography content.
- Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Experience in sports production; knowledge of lacrosse is a plus.
