Position Overview:
The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and service-driven Guest Service Intern to join our Fan Experience team. This position plays a critical role in the planning and preparation of an exceptional, end-to-end experience for every fan attending PLL events across the country.
As a Guest Services Intern, you will serve as a key contributor to the behind-the-scenes coordination that makes each event run smoothly, focusing primarily on pre-event planning, venue coordination, and post-event analysis. You will collaborate closely with league operations, ticketing, and venue partners to anticipate needs, develop service standards, and build the frameworks that set our on-site teams up for success. The areas that you will assist in the planning and execution for include parking, gates, concessions and egress. You will also support the development and execution of fan communication strategies inclusive of pre-event informational emails and post-event survey efforts to inform continuous improvement across all guest service functions.
While the role focuses primarily on planning and preparation, select opportunities to attend events and observe on-site activation may be available throughout the season.
Qualifications:
- Passion for lacrosse, the PLL and WLL, with a commitment to growing the sport and enhancing the fan experience.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic — willing to roll your sleeves up and contribute wherever needed.
- Team-oriented mindset with experience working as part of a team in high-energy environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and in written correspondence.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Professionalism, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset in every interaction.
- Comfort with data collection and analysis tools and experience with survey platforms (e.g., Google Forms, TypeForm) a plus.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Sports, Hospitality, or Event Management, or a related field and/or able to receive college credit.
- Willingness and availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Compensation:
- This position is for college credit only.
