Position Overview: 
Unleashed is a media and events platform that was launched in 2020 and is dedicated to all things women’s lacrosse. Our mission is to use the resources we have at hand to drive awareness, inclusion, coaching and support to the women’s game.The General Manager of Unleashed will be responsible for leading and executing on the long-term vision for Unleashed. They will oversee the day-to-day operations, growth strategy, partnerships, as well as management of Unleashed programming. The GM of Unleashed will work cross-functionally with other PLL business unit leaders to execute Unleashed’s strategy and key initiatives.  

Responsibilities:
  • Bring a commercially minded approach to Unleashed and determine which initiatives will best for creating value and driving growth for the platform 
  • Identify and lead on execution of partnership and M&A opportunities in the girl’s youth space
  • Set and achieve revenue targets for the organization
  • Lead on the operation and execution of girl’s youth events
  • Support operations of Unleashed tentpole events (Champ Series, All-star skills, Japan)
  • Cultivate relationships with the female athletes and lead on event booking
  • Remain current on the girl’s youth lacrosse landscape and work with key stakeholders within the space to help scale the business.
  • Work with the PLL partnerships team on Unleashed revenue opportunities
  • Build and execute social and marketing strategies and campaigns

Qualifications: 
  • Deep understanding of the girl’s youth space, history, and future opportunities
  • Deeply curious and entrepreneurial at heart; must have a builders mindset and large aspirations for the platform 
  • Strategic thinker with both a short term and long-term vision for Unleashed
  • Event operations experience and can build, sell, and operate an event from conception to execution
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in the girl’s youth space 
  • Experience with sponsor sales and partnership management
  • Ability to manage a P&L 
  • Demonstrates leadership capabilities and can build towards managing a team or business unit
  • Excellent communication skills (both internal and external)
  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal and team-based skills
  • Hard worker who is a “doer” first; must be ready to roll sleeves up
  • Experience with leading social and marketing campaigns

Compensation:
  • Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location
  • $110,000 to $130,000 annually
  • The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
