Position: Videographer/Producer
Reports: Vice President of Game Presentation & Content
Type: Full-Time (Exempt)
The San Diego Seals are looking for a great storyteller and are currently hiring a Videographer/Producer. This individual will be responsible for producing content for the Seals in-arena show, as well as digital and social platforms. The Seals seek an “idea machine” with the drive to expand and promote the brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Exercise creativity and self-motivation to contribute to a culture of professionalism and exceptional production
· Produce, shoot and edit video features, highlights, interviews and other on-demand content optimized for Seals digital (website, etc.) and social channels.
· Create video features for in-arena videoboard show including ideation, shooting in practical sets and green screen environment, and editing pieces
· Assist in development of creative ideas for in-game, social media, website, etc.
· Create team's video advertisements in multiple formats and aspect ratios to support ticket sales
· Provide video coverage for Seals games and non-lacrosse events, including but not limited to, community relations and fan engagement events, ticket sales events, clinics, etc.
· Design and create motion graphics for use in video features
· Set-up, light and shoot on green screen at Seals Media Day and other times as needed
· Work closely with others in the content department to schedule and plan production needs
· Provides general sound design and color correction
· Participates in the upkeep of camera and editing equipment
· Help manage the logging and archiving of video content and the overall digital asset management
· Duties as assigned
Required Skills / Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred. Equivalent, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
· Minimum of 3 years editing experience on both short-form and long-form projects for digital platforms.
· Must have strong grasp of the latest non-linear video editing techniques and visual trends.
· Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
· Proficiency in motion graphics a plus
· Experience with 3D modeling and animation a plus
· Demonstrated proficiency in shooting with professional cameras and editing video.
· Will be required to work all home games and other events, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Knowledge of lacrosse and the NLL a plus
· Ability to lift/carry production equipment up to 40 lbs.
· Ability to stand during shoots ranging from 30 minutes to 10 hours
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Polished interpersonal and communication skills with a positive demeanor and appearance
