Lacrosse Operations Intern Job Description
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs launched on June 21, 2021, as the 15th team in the National Lacrosse League beginning play in December 2022. The team is co-owned by Wayne Gretzky, Dustin Johnson, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai. The Lacrosse Operations Intern will play a crucial role in the success of the Las Vegas Desert Dogs team operations. The intern will be asked to assist in multiple areas in an extremely fast paced environment to ensure the team is the very best in the league when it comes to operations. The Lacrosse Ops Intern will be asked to assist in: locker rooms set up and clean up, bench set up and clean up, helping with organizing the storage areas, laundry, moving hydration and other responsibilities. This position requires an individual who is hungry, well organized and able to make quick decisions and listen to directions in an extremely fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Equipment Manager and Director of Lacrosse Operations with all locker room set up for all home practices, shootarounds & games
· Assist in setting up benches and penalty boxes pre game
· Assist in managing home, visiting and officials needs for entirety of home game weekend
· Laundry duties for uniforms and towels
· Assist in being able to help equipment manager with any needs (ex. Changing sticks, moving water, fixing protective gear)
· Assist Equipment manager and Director of Lacrosse Operations in picking up locker room supplies from stores
· Assist Director of Lacrosse Operations in picking up jerseys and other on floor team equipment/uniforms
· Assist Equipment Manager and Director of Lacrosse Operations with building and wrapping helmets
· Assist Equipment Manager in making sure both teams, penalty boxes and officials water bottles are always filled
· Ability to lift over 50lbs
· Assist Equipment Manager and Director of Lacrosse Operations in tear down for all home weekends.
Compensation: $16.50 per hour
