SUMMARY
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs were launched on June 21, 2021, as the 15th team in the National Lacrosse League beginning play in December 2022. The team is co-owned by Wayne Gretzky, Dustin Johnson, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai. The team plays at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson.
 
The Director, Group & Premium Ticket Sales will be a revenue generating role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The primary responsibility of this role is generating revenue through the selling of group ticket products and premium ticket packages, while also contributing to revenue and attendance growth through the sale of season ticket packages. This role will meet weekly with the COO and provide updates on leads, targets, and outcomes.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Prospect, qualify leads, set face-to-face appointments, and close corporate accounts that drive new ticketing revenue with an emphasis on putting butts in seats
  • Prioritize selling group ticket packages, premium hospitality packages (Doghouse and Barracks), season ticket memberships, and entertainment suites with the potential to bundle select on-premise marketing assets to drive higher ticket and revenue totals
  • Meet or exceed daily call, appointment, and activity expectations
  • Maintain detailed account records in designated platforms (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to new and existing ticketing accounts, acting as their primary point of contact on both gamedays and non-gamedays
  • Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals and KPIs (e.g., email / phone outreach)
  • Attend team and community events for the purpose of improving sales throughout the entire year
  • Perform game-day responsibilities including client & prospect entertainment, as well as the facilitation of large group events, fan experiences and theme night commitments
  • Conduct weekly coaching of ticket sales team on best practices.
  • Monitor ticket sales team performance and discuss with COO.
  • Assist COO in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Support the training process for new-hires and advise the COO on progress.
  • Assist in the game day supervision and management of the sales tables and facilitate in-season sales initiatives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE – WHO YOU ARE:
  • Prior experience in ticket sales or groups sales required
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Related work experience of 2+ years, minimum, in the Sports & Entertainment Industry.
  • High proficiency in both written and verbal communications (public speaking and presentation)
  • Excellent relationship builder with interpersonal skills
  • Strong time-management, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, with strong work ethic and desire to be successful
  • Digital literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Ability to learn and master new software programs including CRM platform (HubSpot) and ticketing system (AXS)
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, operations, or related field 

Travel Requirements 
May be required to travel on some occasions (<1% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Work Environment 
Works primarily in an office environment but will be required to attend home games and upon request other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
