General Summary: The Digital Platforms Manager manages and supports NLL technology platforms and relationships with vendors servicing broadcast, commercial, digital, social, and lacrosse operations. The Digital Platforms Manager supports the SVP, Technology and Broadcast Operations by day-to-day management of League technology; managing platform metrics reports; updating non-editorial website content and managing communication and relationships with the League’s vendors and teams to ensure the performance of the NLL’s digital products.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages, and services all technology platforms to support broadcast production including cloud-based platforms, transmission, and distribution partners.
- Coordinates requirements and communications with League’s technology partners and vendors.
- Manages content and operations of the League’s video streaming platform.
- Manages the back-end administration of league web/mobile platforms.
- Manages maintenance and monitoring of technology platforms in support of League operations including, cloud-based production platforms, streaming and analytics platforms, league data operations, officials’ microphones, official reviews, and game analysis platforms.
- Overall product management of the League’s website, NLL.com, content management system, non-editorial content, and coordination with the League’s web development and site-hosting agency.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
- Significant experience (3-4 years in digital and project management).
- Knowledge of content management systems (WordPress); video streaming platforms; cloud-native software (SAAS) platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML and back-end web production
- Familiarity working in sports and breaking news environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including experience with content management systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and problem solve
- Experience in live on-site and remote production workflows is a plus.

- Minimum 3+ years of related technology, broadcast operations, and product management
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, based on broadcast production schedule
- Discipline to represent the league well in all content.

- Ability to prioritize and multitask, managing multiple projects with tight timelines

- Must be able to establish strong working relationships with people throughout the digital ecosystem and identify collaboration opportunities between departments and member teams when possible
- Determined work ethic with a passion for delivering on group and individual objectives.
- Must have strong quantitative skills
- Must have knowledge of major social media platforms and related strategies
- Sets clear priorities and can reposition resources to effectively meet team goals
- Previous experience working with following platforms is a plus: BitFire Networks, Viz Flowics, Grabyo, WordPress, Quickbase, online video platforms (OVPs); data APIs
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
General office environment. Remote. No extraordinary physical demands required. Some stress may occur when tight deadlines are required.
