The Oshawa FireWolves are seeking an experienced photographer to join our content team as Team Photographer. The FireWolves Team Photographer will be responsible for capturing compelling imagery at all nine home games during the 2026-27 NLL Season, along with select team events, practices, and other key moments as determined by the creative team. This role is essential in helping showcase the excitement of FireWolves lacrosse across digital, print, and promotional platforms.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photography during Oshawa FireWolves home games
- Deliver real-time photo selects for distribution across FireWolves social media
- Edit, color correct, and optimize imagery for various formats, platforms, and audiences
- Work closely with the FireWolves marketing and communications staff to ensure brand consistency
- Maintain and organize photo assets within the FireWolves’ PhotoShelter
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices in sports and editorial photography
- Must be available to work FireWolves Media Day and all nine home games at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, ON
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional photography experience, preferably in sports or live event environments
- Proven ability to capture high-quality imagery in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling through photography
- Expertise in DSLR/mirrorless camera systems and professional lenses
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop
- Experience working with elite athletes or professional sports teams
- General knowledge of lacrosse
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
