The Oshawa FireWolves are looking to hire a dynamic, outgoing, passionate Director of Game Presentation. This position oversees all elements of proper execution concerning on-field performances, in-game promotions, fan engagement tactics, and the overall atmosphere for all FireWolves home games. Game Day presentation is your opportunity to be creative and utilize your knowledge of what a game day experience looks like for all involved. You can make fans stand, shout, cheer, smile and make lifelong memories. Your mission is to take control of the arena and create unforgettable experiences through dynamic game promotions, creative corporate partnership activations, and electrifying gameday atmospheres. A qualified candidate needs to be well-organized, vigilant, team-oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects at once. Ideal candidates must be able to conceptualize creative ideas, have an outgoing personality, and execute event logistics at the highest level. This position is full-time and will report directly to the FireWolves Team President.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous sports or live entertainment experience - preferably in a large-scale venue/arena
  • Excellent people skills, and an ability to interact effectively in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner
  • Proactive problem solving skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines, handle high-stress situations, and manage time-sensitive activations
  • Clear and concise communication skills, including comfort speaking in front of large groups and company executives.
  • Ability to generate new and creative game entertainment concepts
  • Maintain flexibility in fast-paced environments with a positive attitude
  • Prior experience in Lacrosse or Hockey is a plus
  • Experience as a motivated self-starter, with creative ideas, and the ability to lead by example.
  • Exemplify a hard work ethic with a willingness to follow directions, learn, and adapt to stressful situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Familiarity with an arena production room (music, videoboard, in-house camera displays, etc.)
  • Flexible work schedule and ability work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Hire, manage, and coordinate all game day operations/entertainment staff to ensure proper execution of the in-game presentation
  • Confirm the proper execution of corporate partner deliverables, including in-game commercials, on-field activations, promotional features, PA announcements, and partnership entitlements
  • Develop and manage all entertainment items needed at the start of the season to ensure every element is planned and coordinated for use throughout the season
  • Serve as liaison between the organization and the venue from an operations and logistics standpoint
  • Creation of gameday script, run of show, and other necessary materials for all vendors, staff members, and performances
  • Connect with and facilitate all outside, third-party vendors regarding game day timing, location, activations, and requirements
  • Consistently meet with corporate partnerships, ticketing, and marketing departments to specify details of upcoming games
  • Work with marketing and promotions team to coordinate additional non-gameday events and programming.
  • Conceptualize and assist with the development of all in-game video content, including hype videos, promotional content, player introductions, and fan-engagement activations
  • Evaluate, analyze, and measure the success and accuracy of the organization's game presentation and make adjustments as needed to 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of, or equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, a master’s degree is preferable.
  • 3+ years of experience in Game Presentation; developing game scripts, planning the run of show, and evaluating the success of the overall in-arena presentation.  
  • A minimum of 2 years management experience; leading, scheduling, and organizing teams of 10+ people
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
