The Wolf Pack is currently seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individual to join our 2025-26 Social Media Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, and capable of being adaptable to tight deadlines. The candidate selected for this role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for developing social media campaigns, engaging content, and digital assets to be used throughout the course of the season. This individual will assist in managing the official Wolf Pack Instagram account and support the Wolf Pack Coaching Staff in both digital and operational initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and growing the Wolf Pack’s Instagram presence through strategic content planning, posting, and audience engagement
- Support the creation and delivery of social and digital content tied to Wolf Pack corporate partnership obligations
- Capture photo and video content of the Wolf Pack at practices, clinics, and Albany FireWolves home games
- Promote upcoming Wolf Pack clinics, appearances, and events via social media outreach
- Contribute to the development of content calendars and assist in shaping overall social media strategy
- Research trends and help brainstorm original content ideas that align with the Wolf Pack’s voice and brand
- Assist in the creation and editing of short-form video content for social media platforms
- Participate in photo and video shoots to develop high-quality digital content
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Wolf Pack as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field
- Must be available to work all Albany FireWolves home games and Wolf Pack practices throughout the season
- Previous dance experience is strongly preferred, but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in major social media platforms and content creation tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with social media analytics, reporting tools, and performance metrics
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh, engaging content ideas
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Genuine passion for sports and a strong interest in digital and social media strategy
