The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2025-26 Social Media Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, and capable of being adaptable among tight deadlines. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects at once, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for developing social media campaigns, engaging content, and digital assets to be used throughout the course of the season. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns across all platforms 
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars to align with brand initiatives 
  • Create, publish, and distribute engaging content tailored to each social media platform 
  • Monitor social media performance and engagement to help identify top-performing content, trends, and campaigns 
  • Conduct research and contribute to campaign strategy and content planning 
  • Assist in managing community engagement by responding to comments and direct messages 
  • Write compelling captions that align with the brand voice and resonate with followers 
  • Help shoot and edit short-form video content for various FireWolves social media channels 
  • Maintain consistency in messaging, tone, and visual branding across all channels 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Albany FireWolves Front Office staff 
Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field 
  • Must be available to work all Albany FireWolves home games throughout the season 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail 
  • Proficient in major social media platforms and content creation tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Previous experience in photography, video editing, and graphic design is strongly preferred 
  • Familiarity with social media analytics, reporting tools, and performance metrics 
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh, engaging content ideas 
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
  • Genuine passion for sports and a strong interest in digital and social media strategy
