The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2025-26 Game Operations Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, capable of proactive problem solving, and a critical thinker. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects at once, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for assisting the gameday production team throughout the course of the season. 

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Support the planning and seamless execution of in-game promotions, fan engagement activities, and concourse activations 
  • Assist with crowd management and guest services to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all attendees 
  • Participate in the setup and teardown of game day materials, including signage, promotional items, and technical equipment 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate all game day operations 
  • Manage the logistics and smooth delivery of in-game promotions, fan contests, and interactive gameday experiences 
  • Oversee in-game entertainment elements and personnel, including national anthem performances, halftime acts, and special appearances 
  • Assist with the precise timing and execution of key game day elements such as music cues, player introductions, and sponsor activations 
  • Design and implement innovative in-game promotion concepts that drive fan engagement 

Qualifications: 
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a closely related field 
  • Available to work all Albany FireWolves home games throughout the season, including evenings and weekends, with availability beginning up to five hours before game time 
  • Consistently present a professional image and demeanor, both in appearance and conduct 
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and address operational challenges 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously 
  • Flexible schedule and committed to working evenings, weekends, holidays, and playoff games as required 
  • Genuine passion for sports and a desire to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry 
  • Basic understanding of live event and sports production processes is a strong advantage
