The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2025-26 Albany FireWolves Foundation Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, capable of proactive problem solving, and a critical thinker. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing the Albany FireWolves Foundation object both during the week and at home games.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in outreach and communication with nonprofit organizations and community groups to build meaningful relationships and establish clear game day direction
- Capture photos and write descriptions for all Foundation auction jerseys to support fundraising efforts
- Support the execution of in-game activations at the Foundation concourse table, including 50/50 raffles and Dash Auctions
- Assist with pre-game setup and post-game breakdown of Foundation elements on game days
- Keep accurate track of FireWolves Foundation monetary and in-kind donations
- Help organize and manage inventory of auction items, donation requests, and Foundation-related documentation
- Work directly with local nonprofit partners to facilitate their involvement in game day and community initiatives
- Learn to operate and troubleshoot tablets and devices used during Foundation activations
- Support additional Foundation initiatives and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, Non-Profit Management, or a related field
- Must be available to work all Albany FireWolves home games throughout the season
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and collaborate across departments
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, team-oriented mindset
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, and the sports industry, with a desire to pursue a career in corporate partnerships
- Prior experience in customer service, or fan-facing roles is a plus
