LACROSSE OPERATIONS INTERN

Reports To: Gwen Jones, Lacrosse Operations and Community Affairs Manager

EXPECTATIONS:

The Lacrosse Operations Intern position for the Georgia Swarm is responsible for assisting the Swarm’s Lacrosse Operations Department with team scheduling for players and coaches throughout the week and the Swarm’s Equipment Manager on home gamedays with setup and tear down.

The intern may be asked to help in several different areas or departments within the same workday and needs to be able to adapt to the current task. He or she needs to be able to take any given task and apply their own problem solving, creative and organizational skills with guidance from full-time staff members while completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Swarm’s Equipment Manager on Swarm home games with equipment, laundry, setup, and tear down.
Help create a positive experience for our players
Assist in building team itineraries for players and coaches (flights, hotels, and transportation)
Organize and manage multiple tasks
Assist in creating the schedule for gameday staff members
Be in the office a minimum of 1 day per week with varying hours depending on availability
Data entry and research of various information
Independent clerical work, such as filing, data entry, copying and correspondence
Applicants will need to be available September 2022-May 2023
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to commit to working through the 2022-23 season, including playoffs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle little guidance or specific direction depending given tasks
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required
Previous operations experience is preferred.
Customer service experience a plus
