About the Vegas Thrill
Vegas Thrill is Las Vegas and Henderson's professional women's volleyball team competing in Major League Volleyball. The organization is entering a new era under local ownership and will return to Lee's Family Forum for the January 2027 season. Our goal is to build a high-energy, community-connected organization that grows women's professional sports and creates an exceptional experience for fans, partners, players, and employees.

Position Summary
The Fan Engagement Manager develops and executes programs, promotions, events, and match-day experiences that strengthen the relationship between the Vegas Thrill and its fans. This hands-on position works directly with the Marketing Managers and Social Media Manager to connect the team's campaigns, digital content, community presence, and live-event experience. The position owns assigned fan-facing programs from concept through execution and evaluation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fan Experience and Retention
  • Develop fan-engagement initiatives supporting awareness, ticket sales, repeat attendance, and long-term loyalty.
  • Help establish a distinctive Vegas Thrill fan culture that is energetic, inclusive, family-friendly, and representative of Las Vegas and Henderson.
  • Create experiences for season-ticket members, groups, youth clubs, first-time attendees, and other priority audiences.
  • Develop opportunities for fans to interact with players, coaches, the mascot, sponsors, and one another.
  • Gather fan feedback and recommend improvements to the overall experience.
Home-Match Promotions
  • Plan and execute theme nights, contests, giveaways, concourse activities, photo opportunities, fan recognition, and interactive promotions.
  • Work with game presentation to integrate fan-engagement elements into the match-day run of show.
  • Coordinate pre-match, in-match, and post-match activities that encourage audience participation.
  • Confirm that signage, prizes, supplies, staffing, promotional inventory, and activation spaces are ready before doors open.
  • Remain visible during home matches to resolve issues and make real-time adjustments.
Community and Grassroots Engagement
  • Build relationships with volleyball clubs, schools, youth sports organizations, community groups, nonprofits, and local businesses.
  • Coordinate player, coach, mascot, and team appearances at community events.
  • Develop youth volleyball experiences such as club nights, team-of-the-match programs, clinics, group recognitions, and on-court opportunities.
  • Ensure community events include appropriate staffing, branding, ticket offers, lead collection, content capture, and follow-up.
  • Maintain a database of community contacts, participation, leads, and outcomes.
Marketing, Social Media, and Ticketing Collaboration
  • Align fan programs with the master marketing calendar and approved campaigns.
  • Give the Social Media Manager timely schedules, details, participant information, and content opportunities.
  • Generate fan-focused content ideas, interactive questions, polls, contests, and user-generated-content opportunities.
  • Work with ticketing to convert community participants and digital followers into ticket buyers.
  • Coordinate appropriate permissions when fans or children are featured in team content.
Sponsorship and Event Staffing
  • Execute fan-facing sponsor contests, giveaways, concourse activities, hospitality experiences, and community programs.
  • Document completed activations through photographs, video, participation results, and other proof of performance.
  • Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise interns, brand ambassadors, volunteers, and temporary event staff as assigned.
  • Prepare clear event assignments, timelines, credentials, supplies, and check-in procedures.
  • Produce post-event recaps identifying results, successes, challenges, and improvements.

Performance Measures
  • Home-match attendance, participation, and repeat attendance.
  • Season-ticket member, group-buyer, and youth volleyball engagement.
  • Community-event participation and qualified lead generation.
  • Fan satisfaction and survey results.
  • Sponsor activation participation and on-time event execution.

Qualifications
  • Relevant professional, agency, internship, volunteer, independent-project, training, or comparable experience will be considered. A college degree is not required.
  • Experience planning and executing live events, promotions, community programs, or fan experiences preferred.
  • Experience supervising event staff, interns, volunteers, or brand ambassadors preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in professional sports, entertainment, agency, events, marketing, communications, or a related environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior leadership, coworkers, agencies, vendors, and community partners.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced live-event environment.
  • Knowledge of volleyball and the Las Vegas/Henderson market is helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on the team's schedule.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time, schedule-driven position. Regular business hours are expected, along with attendance at assigned home matches, community events, media activities, promotional programs, and team functions. Evening, weekend, holiday, and extended-hour work will be required at designated times throughout the year.
