About the Columbus Fury

The Columbus Fury are a professional women's volleyball team competing in Major League Volleyball (MLV). As we prepare for the 2027 season, we are focused on growing our fan base, expanding our season ticket membership program, and creating one of the premier live event experiences in professional sports.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Ticketing & Memberships to lead all ticket sales, membership sales, retention, and service initiatives for the organization.

This role offers an opportunity to directly impact the growth and success of a professional sports franchise while building meaningful relationships with fans, businesses, and community partners throughout Central Ohio.

Position Summary

The Director of Ticketing & Memberships is responsible for developing and executing the organization's ticket sales and membership strategy, including season ticket memberships, premium seating, group sales, mini plans, and single-match ticket initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead revenue generation efforts, oversee membership retention and service strategies, manage ticketing operations, and work collaboratively with marketing and partnerships teams to maximize attendance and fan engagement.

This position is ideal for a highly motivated sales leader who enjoys building relationships, leading by example, and creating innovative strategies to grow ticket revenue and fan loyalty.

Key Responsibilities


Ticket Sales & Revenue Generation
  •  Lead all ticket sales efforts, including season memberships, premium seating, group sales, mini plans, and single-match sales 
  •  Develop and execute annual sales plans and revenue strategies 
  •  Personally sell ticket packages and premium experiences 
  •  Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams 
  •  Achieve and exceed departmental revenue goals 

Membership Retention & Service
  •  Develop strategies to maximize membership renewals and retention 
  •  Build and oversee season ticket member benefits and experiences 
  •  Manage member communication plans and service initiatives 
  •  Create programs that increase engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value 

Ticket Operations
  •  Oversee ticket inventory management and pricing strategy 
  •  Coordinate ticketing platform administration and reporting 
  •  Ensure accurate processing and fulfillment of ticket orders 
  •  Manage game-day ticket operations and customer service processes 

Leadership & Team Development
  •  Lead, coach, and support the ticket sales staff 
  •  Establish sales goals, activity expectations, and accountability measures 
  •  Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training sales personnel 
  •  Foster a culture of service, accountability, and revenue generation 

Collaboration & Organizational Support
  •  Partner with Marketing to develop ticket sales campaigns and promotions 
  •  Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships on integrated revenue opportunities 
  •  Support community outreach initiatives and special events 
  •  Work closely with organizational leadership on strategic planning and forecasting 

Reporting & Analytics
  •  Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity 
  •  Develop forecasts and revenue projections 
  •  Track key performance indicators and departmental goals 
  •  Provide regular reporting to organizational leadership 

Qualifications

Required
  •  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience 
  •  3+ years of experience in ticket sales, membership sales, sports business, revenue generation, or related fields 
  •  Proven track record of achieving sales goals and generating revenue 
  •  Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills 
  •  Experience using CRM and ticketing systems 
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  •  Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule 

Preferred
  •  5+ years of experience in professional sports, college athletics, entertainment, or live events 
  •  Experience leading or mentoring sales staff 
  •  Experience with Ticketmaster Archtics, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools 
  •  Experience selling premium seating, season memberships, sponsorships, or hospitality products 
  •  Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies

Within your first 12 months, you will:
  •  Increase season ticket membership sales and renewals 
  •  Grow premium seating and hospitality revenue 
  •  Build a consistent sales culture and accountability structure 
  •  Improve member retention and fan engagement 
  •  Establish accurate sales forecasting and reporting processes 
  •  Help position the Columbus Fury for sustained attendance and revenue growth
