Are you passionate about graphic design and eager to immerse yourself in the thrilling world of professional rugby?

The Free Jacks, a dynamic and electrifying rugby team in the heart of New England seek an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Graphic Design Intern for the rest of the 2024 season.

As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll dive headfirst into the heart of our brand, contributing your creative talents to maintain and improve graphic design needs set by the Director of Brand. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced environment of Major League Rugby (MLR) while honing your design skills and working closely with our dedicated team.

Position Details:
Role: Graphic Design Intern, 
Reporting to: Director of Brand & Creative
Location: Quincy, MA at home matches and Remote through the week
Hours: up to 20 hours per week
Duration: May through August (Play off dependant)
Compensation: Unpaid 

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Produce digital and physical graphics. 
  • Utilize your design expertise to create visually captivating designs across physical and digital assets. 
  • Implement Marketing Team's Vision: Work closely with the Director of Brand and Creative in order to meet project needs. 

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is important
  • Design Major or Design Degree would be advantageous but not required
  • Passion for Design and Marketing: You have a keen interest in leveraging your skills to contribute to a dynamic marketing environment.
  • You are interested in working in sports, particularly rugby. 
  • Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that exceeds expectations.
  • Ability to Follow Instruction: You're a team player who can effectively execute tasks according to guidelines and instructions provided
  • Must handle feedback well, and understand the creative process. 
  • Understanding of Design Principles: You possess a foundational understanding of design principles and are eager to further develop your skills in a real-world setting.
  • Physical Capabilities: You're capable of lifting up to 50lbs and comfortable using basic tools such as pillars and scissors for installation purposes.
