The New England Free Jacks are greater Boston’s explosive and excitable professional rugby team competing in Major League Rugby (MLR), the premier North American professional competition, representing all the greatness of the six New England states on and off the field.

As we gear up for the start of our 2023 season, we’re actively looking for a Corporate Partnerships Intern who is eager to help build out our portfolio, assist with sponsorship deliverables, and gain hands on experience with one of the fastest growing leagues in the country.

You will report directly to the Director of Corporate Partnerships and be heavily involved in all aspects of the organization. We want someone who loves the sports business and, above all, has a relentless work ethic.

This position is an unpaid part time 6-month commitment from January 1st to June 30th.

All candidates must be able to work most, if not all, Free Jacks home matches on weekends in Quincy, MA. Monday through Friday days and hours are flexible along with the ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Assist with prospecting new businesses, create target lists, collect contact information, make calls and emails as necessary
Create proposals, identify new revenue streams, and upsell opportunities
Utilize Relo Metrics to provide real time updates to partners on their social media activity, impressions, and overall media value
Setup and breakdown of game day sponsor activations, stadium logistics, fan giveaways/contests and other marketing initiatives
Work with partners and other department heads to make sure all partnership deliverables are executed on time

Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Sport Management/Administration, Marketing, or a similar field
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office / Google Suite is a must
Strong customer relationship skills
Prior sales or marketing experience is a plus
Photoshop experience is a plus
Experience with SponsorUnited, Relo Metrics, and/or Digideck a plus
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
