Position Summary

This position reports to the President of Business Operations and is based in our headquarters in Marietta, GA. Rugby ATL is seeking a highly innovative marketer to recruit the next generation of Rugby ATL fans. Considered to be a critical role at Rugby ATL, candidates should have an entrepreneurial mindset and be enthusiastic about building a new sports organization in Atlanta. Essential Job Functions

Develops and leads Rugby ATL (MLR team, Academy and Foundation) strategic marketing initiatives including but not limited to building brand awareness, league integrations, partnership activations, external communications, creative trafficking, drafting sales materials, social media, digital and influencer marketing.
Responsible for partner relationships for current and future sponsors of Rugby ATL including brainstorming creative activation ideas to drive unique partnership opportunities and ensuring contract deliverables are fulfilled with internal partners and external vendors.
Responsible for hitting key growth targets across strategic partnerships, game attendance, merchandise sales, social media and management of internal and external team members.
Identify opportunities for Rugby ATL to integrate into Atlanta-area events, international group events and/or youth programs, and manage relationships with supporter groups and local schools.
Collaborate with the Business Development and Sales teams to ideate and develop partner programs and sales pitches that are authentic to the Rugby ATL brand and help drive partner objectives.
Identify and pursue local corporate and community partners to generate brand awareness and diverse revenue streams for RATL.
Measures marketing impact at end-of-season across ticket sales, fan surveys and sponsor results and presents to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education)

Four-year college degree with minimum of 7 - 10 years of marketing experience with a team, brand or agency; experience working in sports or entertainment industry preferred. Prior experience in rugby not required.
Demonstrates fluency across marketing concepts, including universal marketing KPIs, and a deep understanding of core marketing channels. Strong knowledge of brand - including voice, aesthetic, and feel.
Must be comfortable leading change and communicating cutting edge approaches to fans, partners, players and coaches and building buy-in across all key stakeholders.
Ideally have a B2C marketing background with experience in brand marketing, partnerships, digital, social, email, paid social, SEO, OOH and influencers.
Experience managing a team of internal and external talent; demonstrates strong leadership qualities and a high degree of detail.
Deep understanding of Atlanta culture, trends, its consumers/addressable market and how to reach Rugby ATL’s new demographic.
Strong written and verbal communicator, should have a great attitude and be a self-starter.
Willingness to work evenings/weekends/flexible schedule based on game and event schedules
Ability to identify and address issues in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Keynote and social media platforms
