Houston SaberCats Ticket Sales/Ticket Operations Internship
The Houston SaberCats are a professional rugby team based in Houston that competes in Major League Rugby, North America's premier professional rugby league.
Interns will report directly to the Director of Ticket Sales. This internship is designed for them to learn all aspects of a ticket sales department. Interns will be selling ticket packages, working the box office, being a liaison to season ticket members, as well as an important part of our game day/event staff for all events at SaberCats Stadium during the 2025 off-season.
Responsibilities:
- Support the ticket sales & marketing departments with game day duties, projects, and other tasks.
- Work the box office or sales table during the 2025 off-season.
- Prospect and solicit new Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer leaders for SaberCats Season & Group Tickets via cold calling and social selling.
- Participate in ticket sales training, observe sales calls made by the Director of Ticket Sales, and attend off-site sales meetings to help close transactions.
- Provide world class customer service to clients when dealing with questions and transactions over the phone, at the stadium, in meetings, and over email.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and must receive college credit.
- A background in sales, marketing, or business development is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Local Houston metro area candidates preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
