Houston SaberCats Production and Promotions Internship

The Houston SaberCats are a professional rugby team based in Houston that competes in Major League Rugby, North America's premier professional rugby league.

Interns will report directly to the Head of Stadium Production. This internship is designed for them to learn all aspects of the production booth and how to produce gamedays. Interns will be in control of audio, visual, and replay content on gamedays, shoot gameday entertainment during pregame and halftime, as well as help with promotional events as they come. Interns will be an important part of our gameday/event staff for all events at SaberCats Stadium during the 2024 season.

Internships with the Houston SaberCats will provide qualified interns with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of a professional sports franchise's front office. This internship will provide hands on experience where your work will truly impact our organization. It is a fast-paced, exciting environment that will provide valuable, professional skill development, networking opportunities, and excellent work experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in game day production such as audio controls, TV camera setup, and camera recording.
· Assists production and social media directors with various research and planning around theme nights, ticketing promotions, and special events.
· Attend events in the Houston Metro area to promote the SaberCats brand and the sport of rugby.
· Help incorporate trending content into our gameday entertainment to promote the SaberCats brand and the sport of rugby.
· Record videos, take photos, and help create graphics for social media.
· Attends promotional events in the community.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and must receive college credit.
· Video and Photography experienced preferred.
· A background in production, marketing, or business development is a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills.
· Local Houston metro area candidates preferred.
· Must have reliable transportation.
