Title: Director of Ticketing–LOVB Nebraska FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Omaha, NE
Job Summary
LOVB Nebraska is seeking an experienced Director of Ticketing to lead all ticket revenue strategies and execution for our professional volleyball team. This role will oversee ticketing systems, pricing strategy, sales processes, and team leadership to drive attendance, revenue growth, and long-term fan development. The Director of Ticketing will also be responsible for developing, managing, and empowering a small but growing ticketing staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Own and execute the overall ticketing strategy for season tickets, group sales, single-match tickets, and premium products.
● Lead, manage, and develop the ticketing team, including managers and sales representatives.
● Establish pricing, packaging, and promotional strategies aligned with league initiatives and local market dynamics.
● Oversee ticketing platforms, CRM systems, reporting, and data integrity to ensure accurate forecasting and performance tracking.
● Develop scalable sales processes, tools, and best practices appropriate for a startup professional volleyball organization.
● Collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, and event operations to drive demand, attendance, and an exceptional fan experience.
● Analyze sales data, market trends, and fan behavior to optimize revenue growth and retention strategies.
● Serve as the primary point of contact with league leadership on ticketing initiatives, reporting, and compliance.
Required Skills and Abilities
● Proven leadership experience in ticket sales or revenue operations, preferably in sports or live events.
● Strong working knowledge of ticketing platforms, CRM systems, and data-driven sales strategies.
● Ability to lead from the front and establish a best-in-class sales team in a startup environment.
● Excellent communication, leadership, and team-development skills.
● Strategic thinker with a creative approach to growing attendance and building volleyball fandom.
● Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
● Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and operations teams.
● Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
● High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree required.
● Prior experience in professional sports, college athletics, live events, or entertainment.
● Experience with Ticketmaster and Archtics required.
● Demonstrated success leading ticket sales teams and driving revenue growth.
Working Conditions
● Primary work location is LOVB Nebraska headquarters in Omaha, NE.
● Occasional travel for events or meetings.
● Attendance at all home events is required.
