The Professional, Global Social Ops & Activations is responsible for the execution, and day-to-day management of the digital components of The IRONMAN Group partnership agreements. This position will act as the liaison between the Global Partnerships team, and the Global Content & Performance Marketing team. This role assists with the campaigns for all Merchandise and E-commerce activations and assists with the day-to-day maintenance of all social media channels. The role will contribute to the overall success of the brand activations across the portfolio with regional, national and global sponsors, and will contribute to the overall success of the Merchandise, E-commerce and the Global Partnership, and Global Content & Performance Marketing teams.
Contracted Partners’ Social Media Activation
- Work with Global Partnerships to plan and execute contracted social media activities to meet partner activation objectives and strategic priorities while keeping to The IRONMAN Group brand guidelines.
- Deliver and track all contracted social media activities for timely or requested reports to measure against defined metrics of success.
- Plan, coordinate and execute paid media campaign requests and needs for Global Partnerships.
- Collaborate across internal departments and stakeholders to constantly improve partnership content, ensuring approval from partners, while aligning with The IRONMAN Group brand guidelines, programs and initiatives.
Global Content & Performance Marketing Team Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop IRONMAN Pro Series event coverage report, provide insights and recommendations for event-to-event improvements based on performance and track results against KPI.
- Develop required reports for Global Content Marketing team around IRONMAN Pro Series, social media and other content marketing projects as needed.
- Assist Global Content Marketing team with special campaigns content creation such as World Championship events and more.
- Own and maintain of all The IRONMAN Group social media platforms, liaising with Meta on requests such as page mergers, name changes and more.
- Perform other job-related duties to support the team as requested.
- Maintain strong industry knowledge of best practices and social trends.
Merchandise & E-commerce Social Media Ownership
- Work with Merchandise and E-commerce teams to plan and execute contracted social media activities to meet department’s objectives and strategic priorities while keeping to The IRONMAN Group brand guidelines.
- Deliver and track all contracted social media activities for timely or requested reports to measure against defined metrics of success.
- Plan, coordinate and execute paid media campaign requests and needs for Merchandise and E-commerce.
- Collaborate across internal departments and stakeholders to constantly improve merchandise and E-commerce related content, ensuring approval received, while aligning with The IRONMAN Group brand guidelines, programs and initiatives.
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Sport Management, Business Administration or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience with e-commerce marketing, account management, client services, and marketing and a working knowledge of sponsorship within the sports & outdoors industry.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, including working with external partners and internal teams to deliver on contractual obligations.
- Knowledge and understanding of partnership and sponsorship within sports & entertainment industry
- High attention to detail with the ability to enforce brand guidelines and maintain consistency across platforms and partner deliverables.
- Basic photo/video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop) to produce short-form social-first content.
- Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, or similar) to support content creation, research, ideation, and efficiency while maintaining brand alignment.
- Basic understanding of social campaign structure and KPIs, especially for Meta, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Proficiency with social analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio) for performance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into content recommendations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral form.
- Excel in a fast-paced environment and work both individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and successfully juggle multiple projects and self-prioritize tasks.
- Thinks creatively and can adapt approach to changing situations.
- Strong time management and ability to work in teams as well as independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills – builds effective working relationships on all levels.
- Ability to work some non-traditional hours, including weekends (when events take place).
- Expect overtime during peak event season (August to October).
- Has a passion for sports and the world of triathlon.
