Job Title: Financial Analyst
Job Status: Year Round Full Time
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,885 to $2,915.38+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst position is a full-time, year-round position at Copper Mountain. The Financial Analyst takes a lead role across the resort in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, business planning, tracking actuals, working with businesses to prepare presentations, and the capital planning process. The Financial Analyst models potential capital spend opportunities and prepares the analyses in a consumable format. The Financial Analyst creates, analyzes, and reviews various financial reports for the purpose of providing leadership with information relevant to running financially responsible operations. The Financial Analyst assists in the facilitation of monthly forecasting and trending. The Financial Analyst also provides analysis and recommendations related to business planning and performs accounting functions required to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Works with Senior Finance Manager on all aspects of financial modeling, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and preparing presentations.
- Creates and distributes financial reports including but not limited to: company-wide financial dashboards, business unit pacing dashboards, monthly P&L’s, OPEX reports; develops new reports to track key performance measures to aid management in proactively monitoring business performance.
- Develops and updates dashboards at the management and the departmental level.
- Serves as a lead point of contact to assist various divisions with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, pricing, and product management as a key financial and revenue analyst.
- Takes a lead role during the budgeting process and works closely with divisional leadership to develop business plans, pricing models, and works with divisions to develop daily revenue and labor models.
- Assists with all aspects of capital including modeling, budgeting, reporting actuals and preparing presentations.
- Works closely with the Director of Development and Construction and the Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting.
- Participates in the monthly financial statement review to identify and provide explanations for variances to budget. Works with operations teams to mitigate variances to budget.
- Performs ad-hoc analysis on all aspects of the business.
- Assists in the facilitation of the budgeting process.
- Assists with month-end close accounting to ensure deadlines are met.
- Identifies and works with team members to improve business processes as they relate to finance and accounting practices.
- Liaises with corporate accounting or operational departments to answer questions related to accounting or reporting.

Basic Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to visually review written and electronic documents.
- Intermediate ski or snowboard ability.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
- Proficient in use of computers to include Excel, Word, and Database Management software programs. Ability to quickly learn new applications.
- 4-year accounting or finance degree required.
- 2-3 years prior finance experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills as needed.
