Minnesota Wind Chill’s Program Management Internship is a comprehensive training program created to prepare college students with a background or interest in sports, recreation, sports management, or a related field the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, manage and deliver various community programs. Intern roles & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with our staff, team, coaches, volunteers, and community partners to deliver high-quality programs
- Assisting our team to ensure all facilities, equipment, and other materials are prepared for our programming
- Assisting with program and general team and foundation marketing and communications
- Establishing and documenting our program management and other core business processes to enable our work to be replicated at a high level
- Creating and launching a new tool to help evaluate and analyze our programming
- Developing and improving program curricula, resources and materials
- Leading other special projects that will enhance the accessibility, impact and effectiveness of our programming
The Minnesota Wind Chill will work with interns to meet any educational internship requirements. Interns are expected to intern approximately 10-20 hours per week, mostly during typical work hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday), but may have occasional requirements on weeknights and weekends related to programming. The Minnesota Wind Chill’s intern program is unpaid, however, we provide interns with a merchandise credit and monthly stipend depending on hours worked and travel required.
