We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Statistician to join our team and provide valuable insights through data analysis.
Job Description:
As a Statistician for the Detroit Mechanix, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data to enhance our team's performance. You will work closely with coaches, players, and management to identify key metrics, track player performance, and develop strategies for improvement. Your insights will inform decision-making processes and contribute to our overall success in the UFA.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze game data, including player statistics, team performance, and opponent tendencies.
- Identify trends and patterns to inform game strategy, player development, and training programs.
- Collaborate with coaches and players to establish performance benchmarks and goals.
- Develop statistical models to predict outcomes and optimize in-game decisions.
- Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings to team stakeholders.
- Stay current on advancements in statistical methods and apply them to enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in statistical analysis
- Experience working with sports data and familiarity with ultimate frisbee or similar sports preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the UFA season.
