Job Summary
This position will primarily support the inventory receiving, recording and distributing needs of both USA Wrestling and USA Volleyball. Both of these NGB’s are headquartered at 4065 Sinton Road, Colorado Springs, and both maintain inventory warehouses in the vicinity of that location. The position will also assist with USA Wrestling’s ongoing photo archiving project on days when no inventory work is needed.
Reporting primarily to a USA Wrestling’s National Teams and RTC Coordinator, the position will also report to USA Volleyball’s Operations Assistant on days they are working for USA Volleyball. The person awarded this position will be employed by USA Wrestling. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and with inventory management systems. Training on the inventory system will be provided.
The Inventory Assistant / Archiving Project Support position is part-time (expected average of 25 hours per week), ideally 4 to 6 hours each day Monday through Friday. This position is 100% in office, (no remote work) at our Colorado Springs, CO location.
Responsibilities:
- Receive inventory deliveries, catalog receipts, log receipts into the appropriate system, fold, sort, store and label inventory received.
- Develop and maintain a well-organized warehouse with inventory properly cataloged and divided by department and intended use.
- Assemble “kits” for national team members by pulling the correct items and sizes for each team member.
- Record distributions, package, and ship kits to team members.
- Deliver items to local vendors for heat pressing and customization and collect when complete.
- Other manual warehouse work as needed, including building shelving, moving and reorganizing inventory, etc.
- Pull items needed by national office staff and deliver to headquarters location as needed.
- Ability to operate and comfort with office equipment such as copy machines and scanning machines.
- Scan, label and organize photo prints, slides and negatives from historical wrestling events, and upload to online photo archive.
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numerous computer systems, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Candidates should be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds, operate a hand truck, push carts loaded with inventory, etc. Candidates must have a current, valid Colorado driver’s license.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Willingness and ability to learn new computer applications.
- Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to build trust, build rapport, and convey empathy.
- Problem-solve effectively and objectively, using discretion and judgement.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience in the sport of wrestling is preferred. Such knowledge will be helpful with the photo archiving project.
- Must be able to successfully pass a USA Wrestling background screening (prior to hire date).
- Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date.
Travel Expectations: No travel will be required from this position.
Hiring Pay Range: $20-$24 per hour depending on experience.

The USA Wrestling Office is located in Colorado Springs, CO - ability to work from the office is required.
