Job Description
The Membership Services Coordinator supports the operation and administration of USA Weightlifting’s national office in the Sport Development areas which include, but are not limited to, membership services, grassroots programs and coach development programs. This role also supports USAW’s national events by providing customer service in advance and in-person operational support at such events. Periodic travel is required.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Membership Services Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for USA Weightlifting members and plays an integral role in delivering exceptional member experiences, supporting organizational growth, and advancing participation in the sport.

Customer Success & Membership Operations (60%)
- Deliver exceptional customer support to members, coaches, clubs, and Weightlifting State Organizations (WSOs) through phone, email, and digital support channels.
- Provide operational support for membership, grassroots, and coach development programs, ensuring a positive and seamless member experience.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance USA Weightlifting’s library of member resources, including tutorial videos, infographics, FAQs, and membership guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve the member experience by creating new educational resources and support tools for members and clubs.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of USAW’s CRM and membership technology platforms by testing new features, documenting processes, tracking projects, and assisting with system improvements.
Data & Insights (20%)
- Monitor and analyze customer support performance metrics within Zendesk, including response times and ticket trends.
- Maintain support automations, workflows, and knowledge base content to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Track, analyze, and communicate key membership metrics, including growth, retention, reactivation, and engagement trends to support organizational decision making.
- Assist with reporting and data analysis that helps identify opportunities to improve member experience, operational effectiveness, and program participation.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and member support processes.
Events & Administrative Support (20%)
- Coordinate fulfillment and shipping of membership materials, certificates, awards, and other items as needed from the national office.
- Support event registration, sanctioning, and results management through USAW’s membership and event management platform.
- Provide operational support at five national events per year
- Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities that support USAW’s strategic goals and membership growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with digital membership/customer management systems a plus
- Willingness to participate in positive, collaborative, member- and athlete-focused culture
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Creative, proactive, and positive attitude toward customer service
- Strong professionalism, verbal, written, listening, and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise sound independent judgment
- Commitment to athlete safety, ethical conduct in sport and anti-doping
- Background check, U.S. Center for SafeSport certification and U.S. Anti-Doping education required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand and move throughout event venues for extended periods during national events.
- Ability to travel domestically and work occasional evenings and weekends as required to support USAW programs and events.

Job Type: Full-time, non-exempt position
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
