USA Water Polo is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & Events Intern to support our marketing initiatives and event activations throughout the year. This internship provides hands-on experience working alongside the National Governing Body for the sport of water polo and offers exposure to sports marketing, partnership activation, and event operations. This is a learning-focused opportunity designed for students interested in sports marketing, brand strategy, and live event execution.
What You’ll Learn & Support
Under the guidance of the Marketing Department, the intern will gain exposure to:
- Event marketing execution at national competitions
- Sponsor and partner activation support
- On-site branding and signage coordination
- Merchandise and fan engagement support
- Marketing operations and campaign coordination
This role provides behind-the-scenes insight into how a national sports organization executes large-scale events and delivers value to corporate partners.
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate college credit program related to marketing, communications, sports management, or other related program
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
- Interest in sports marketing and brand partnerships
- Available for occasional event support in Irvine and surrounding areas
Schedule
- Flexible hours based on event calendar
- Some evening/weekend availability required during major events
- Hybrid preparation work; primarily on-site during events
Compensation & Credit
- Internship for academic credit
