Internship: | USAWP 2026 Summer Events Internship for College/University Credit
USA Water Polo Events Department is accepting Intern applications for the Summer of 2026.
Description:
Interested in gaining hands-on experience with USA Water Polo’s Event Team? This internship offers exposure to a wide range of event operations, with responsibilities spanning both remote and on-site support.
This is an unpaid internship open to currently enrolled college students who are able to receive academic credit through an accredited college or university. No stipend is provided. Candidates based in or near Orange County, CA, or the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, TX are strongly preferred due to the in-person components of the role.
Tentative Start Date: May 1st, 2026
Candidate should possess the following:
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to help with event-related tasks; occasionally physical or laborious tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organization/multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented mindset
- Familiar with Google Docs, Sheets, Drive
- Ability to be a self-starter--proactive and flexible
- Own transportation & living arrangements for the location hired
- Water Polo Knowledge is preferred but not required
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support the Events Department with various on-site projects
- Manage registrations for College Coach Meet & Greet that will take place during the Junior Olympics Expo
- Assist with on-site event set up and tear-down for events
- Help with in-office preparation for events

- Men’s Senior Nationals, San Diego, CA - May 15 - 17, 2026
- Masters National Championship, Walnut, CA – June 19 - 21, 2026
- National Team Games, California - June, July & August 2026
- Junior Olympics, Orange County, CA - July 17 - 26, 2026
- Junior Olympics, Dallas, Texas - July 29 - August 2, 2026
