Position Summary
USA Triathlon (USAT) is seeking a highly organized, confident, and detail-oriented Traffic Manager to oversee the operational workflow of marketing and communications projects. This role serves as the central hub for managing timelines, resources, and communication across the department, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and solutions-oriented — able to anticipate needs, balance competing priorities, and keep projects aligned with organizational goals. They are confident and direct while leading with integrity and positive intent, advocate for themselves and the business, and thrive on collaboration. This role requires an excellent communicator who can bring people together, resolve challenges quickly, and create clarity in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Workflow & Project Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor timelines, and ensure deadlines are consistently met across digital, print, and campaign deliverables.
- Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and projects to team members based on skillsets, workload, and availability, maximizing efficiency and output.
- Communication & Collaboration: Act as the central liaison between marketing, creative, production, and client-facing teams; communicate clearly, confidently, and proactively at all levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Anticipate potential issues, risks, and needs, proposing solutions that keep projects moving forward and aligned with organizational goals.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify workflow bottlenecks or risks to delivery and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Balancing Priorities: Manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Quality Assurance: Review and ensure all marketing deliverables meet brand standards, accuracy, and quality before distribution or delivery.
- Client/Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with internal stakeholders and external collaborators to understand needs, manage expectations, and provide regular project status updates.

- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Wrike, or similar).
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on process, accuracy, and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in project management, traffic management, or marketing operations, ideally within an agency or fast-paced marketing environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- USA Triathlon offers a hybrid work schedule and requires this position to be on site at USAT headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO at least two days per week
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. The employee may be required to exert force to manipulate or move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
