USA Triathlon Intern

Position Summary

The USA Triathlon Internship Program is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the largest multisport organization in the world and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of triathlon and other multisport disciplines. Internships at USA Triathlon present unique opportunities to explore new experiences with technology, people, and specific projects that will help guide the trajectory of your chosen career. Our internships are unpaid but specifically designed to provide a rich educational environment for students studying and/or those seeking a career in recreation, athletics, sports management, communication, event planning, or relationship management. 

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with event planning for domestic and international races for both Olympic and Paralympic events
  • Support data collection for the High Performance Department
  • Assist with High Performance camp planning and assist with camps held at the USOPC
  • Work alongside the High Performance Development team to assist in athlete recruitment
  • Support logistical admin for HP Department, including monitoring High Performance email inboxes
  • Assist in creation of coaching handbooks and athlete guides
  • Create content for the Elite Triathlon Bulletin and Paratriathlon Bulletin
  • Support Coaching Education team with the Learning Management System
 
Qualifications
·         Must be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an educational program in recreation, athletics, sports management, communication, event planning, relationship management, or a related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
·         Self-motivated and goal driven; willingness to take on diverse roles and responsibilities
·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
·         Communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
·         Excellent time-management skills
·         Working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in technological systems
·         Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Anticipated Duration:
March 2024 - November 2024

This is an unpaid position. Interns have no guarantee of any paid position at the end of the internship
