Essential Job Functions
- Design and develop comprehensive educational courses and specialization programs for USA Triathlon's digital learning platform
- Create diverse educational content including video modules, interactive webinars, online courses, and micro-learning experiences for TriathlonLearning.com
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, coaches, and race directors to transform expertise into engaging digital learning modules
- Support content development for the USA Triathlon 2026 Endurance Exchange educational summit
- Work closely with the Education Manager and Sr Education Coordinator in comprehensive course creation and curriculum development
- Learn and utilize Articulate360 for advanced course creation in conjunction with video, audio, and AI tools to develop immersive educational experiences
- Develop educational support materials and resources for USA Triathlon's various certification programs and specializations
- Create content spanning beginner to advanced levels across multiple triathlon and multisport disciplines
- Participate in the full content creation lifecycle from initial concept and instructional design through to fully deployed educational courses
- Contribute to the strategic expansion of USA Triathlon's digital educational platform and learning ecosystem
- Assist in the development of assessment tools, learning pathways, and competency frameworks
- Support quality assurance testing and user experience optimization for educational content
- Participate in shadowing opportunities and direct interactions with coaches, race directors, and key USA Triathlon staff
- Work a minimum of 10-12 hours per week over a 6-month period
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an educational program in instructional design, digital media, education, recreation, athletics, communication, or a related field
- Strong interest and background in sport, particularly endurance sports, with a focus on educational technology and content development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Self-motivated and goal driven; willingness to take on diverse roles and responsibilities in comprehensive digital content creation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex, multi-phase content development projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization, subject matter experts, coaches, and race directors
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple course development timelines and deliverables
- Working knowledge of MS Office and proficient in technological systems
- Video editing skills, website design and editing capabilities, and course creation experience preferred
- Strong understanding of AI utilization in educational content development is highly beneficial
Experience with learning management systems, content management systems, and instructional design principles preferred - Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based education models preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with the ability to work remotely while being available for key in-office periods in Colorado Springs. Fully remote candidates will also be considered. The successful applicant will have direct access to USA Triathlon's education team and will participate in high-level educational content development processes across multiple program areas.
